Guidelines for Authors

Submissions must be original work that has not been published elsewhere, in whole or in substantial part, and must not be under consideration by another journal at the same time.

Required Manuscript Components

1. 1.Author information — full name, affiliation, and ORCID (if available), listed on the title page rather than within the body of the text, to support blind review.
2. 2.Abstract — at least 150 words (roughly 800 characters with spaces), stating the subject, methods, results, and conclusions of the study without repeating the title or restating background material at length.
3. 3.Keywords — up to 10, ordered by relevance rather than alphabetically, covering region, chronology, subject, and terminology as applicable.
4. 4.Length by section — research articles: 15,000–40,000 characters with up to 8–10 illustrations; discussion pieces: 5,000–15,000 characters with up to 5–8 illustrations; reviews and critical bibliography: 15,000–20,000 characters with up to 1 illustration; chronicle/news items: up to 15,000 characters with up to 2–3 illustrations.
5. 5.Citations — given in square brackets with author surname, year, and page, e.g. [Smith 2019: 42].
6. 6.Figures and tables — referenced in the text in parentheses at the point of relevance; illustrative material as a whole should not exceed roughly one-third of the article's length.
7. 7.Bibliography — listed alphabetically, with sources in the original script first followed by transliterated or Latin-script sources; no more than 50 references as a rule.

Formatting

Please avoid manual tabulation, forced line breaks, automatic numbering or cross-referencing macros, and footers/headers with tracked-change artefacts. Use SI units throughout.
