Author-Publisher Relations

The relationship between authors and the journal is governed by the following terms.

  1. 1.Anthropology Journal charges no fees for submission, processing, or publication of articles, and pays no author honoraria.
  2. 2.Submitting a manuscript constitutes acceptance of a public offer regarding the terms of publication and the copyright arrangements described on this page.
  3. 3.The journal operates in accordance with applicable copyright law and relevant international agreements. Authors are responsible for securing any permissions needed for third-party material (images, data, previously published excerpts, etc.).
  4. 4.By submitting, authors grant the journal a non-exclusive right to reproduce and distribute the work in print and in unrestricted digital form, including the use of its metadata in indexing databases and aggregators.
  5. 5.Requests from third parties to reprint an article are referred to the author; the editorial office respects the author's decision.
  6. 6.This right is granted without geographic restriction.
  7. 7.The publisher reserves the right to amend these terms; authors will be notified of material changes.
  8. 8.Authors are free to republish their work elsewhere, provided that the original publication in Anthropology Journal is acknowledged.
  9. 9.Authors may post the published version of their article on personal or institutional websites and in academic repositories, with appropriate attribution.
